Envision IT and The Hospital for Sick Children selected as finalists in the Information Worker Solution Category of the 2007 Microsoft Partner Program IMPACT Awards

Microsoft Partner Program IMPACT Awards recognize Canadian technology partners’ achievements and commitment to customer satisfaction

TORONTO, ONTARIO, September 13, 2007 — Envision IT, a Microsoft Gold-Certified Partner, proudly announced today its selection as a finalist in the Information Worker Category of the 2007 Microsoft Partner Program IMPACT Awards.  The fifth annual IMPACT Awards recognize excellence within the Microsoft technology partner community in Canada as well as the innovative solutions and value they deliver to customers. The IMPACT Awards also acknowledge technology partners for their achievements beyond revenue, growth and innovation, including awards for customer service, marketing and contribution to their communities. The winners will be announced at a gala event in Toronto on November 1, 2007.

"Microsoft technology partners are the key drivers in delivering ground-breaking solutions that help meet today’s complex customer demands,” said Lora Gernon, Director Partner Group, Microsoft Canada Co. “The 2007 finalists have demonstrated commitment and leadership in a wide range of industries and the Microsoft Partner Program IMPACT Awards celebrate the invaluable solutions they have developed to help drive real business growth and customer satisfaction.”

Envision IT was selected as a finalist in the category of Information Worker Solution of the year, based on the work done at The Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids) and the SharePoint Extranet solution developed for the Wait Time Guarantee Pilot Project for children in need of surgery. This federally funded national surgical wait times strategy includes the development of the first pan-Canadian wait times information system to measure the burden of waiting times for children who need surgery.  This project is being conducted in partnership with Canada's 16 paediatric academic health science centres under the leadership of the Paediatric Surgical Chiefs of Canada and SickKids.  The SharePoint Extranet solution provided an efficient and secure way for information sharing between all the 16 participating sites.  The Information Worker Solution of the Year Award recognizes exceptional technology partners that have excelled in offering breakthrough Microsoft Office system solutions.
