Envision IT a Finalist in Two Categories
Envision IT announced that it has been selected as a finalist in two categories for the 2012 Microsoft Partner Network IMPACT Awards: IAMCP Canada Partnership Award for its outstanding web portal offering for Public Health Ontario (PHO); and Community Leadership Partner of the Year for its three-pronged approach to making an impact in the community. The tenth annual IMPACT Awards recognize excellence within the Microsoft technology partner community in Canada.
“This year, we celebrate the 10th Anniversary of the IMPACT Awards, which recognizes the outstanding achievements of Canadian Technology Partners, such as Envision IT.” said Mark Dodds, Vice-President of Small Business, Midmarket Solutions & Partners, Microsoft Canada Inc. “Microsoft depends on our Partners now more than ever before as we enter a new era of cloud based computing. Our partnership is pivotal to growth and success and we look forward to celebrating the commitments of our Partners this year at the IMPACT Awards gala.”
Envision IT was chosen as a finalist in the IAMCP Canada Partnership Award. Envision IT believes strongly in the partnering model. It means providing the finest talent and solutions drawn from an eco-system of some of the best experts in their respective fields. This approach enabled Envision IT to win and lead a joint team in one of the largest and most exciting initiatives in healthcare in Ontario that required cooperation and collaboration across multiple stakeholders.
PHO provides expert scientific and technical support relating to infection prevention and control; surveillance and epidemiology; health promotion, chronic disease and injury prevention; environmental and occupational health; health emergency preparedness; and public health laboratory services to support health providers, the public health system and partner ministries in making informed decisions and taking informed action to improve the health and security of Ontarians. Ensuring this information is accurate, available and timely is a critical service. The Envision IT-led multi-partner team tackled and delivered an outstanding web portal to address the growing demand for a sophisticated online presence.
Envision IT was also chosen as a finalist in the Community Leadership Partner of the Year category for their sustained commitment and positive contributions to society and to their communities. Envision IT takes a three-pronged approach to community leadership that makes a big impact: by actively identifying which community events to sponsor and commit to at the start of each year; by fostering a culture of volunteerism in the workplace; and by offering deep discounts on their professional services to Not-For-Profits.
“We are thrilled to receive this recognition – both for our work and for our commitment to our community,” said Peter Carson, CEO of Envision IT. “The recognition for the PHO project is especially rewarding because it required deep technical expertise, the assembly of a seasoned team of professionals from multiple partners, and a comprehensive change management and project communications plan to address cultural and user adoption issues. The result was a highly successful project that has a positive impact on the taxpayers of Ontario.”
Envision IT, along with other technology partner winners and finalists in each of the award categories, will be honoured at an awards ceremony at the new Four Seasons Hotel located in Yorkville, Toronto on November 13, 2012.
