Redmond, May 28, 2009 - Peter Carson, President of Envision IT, recently sponsored and attended the very successful Microsoft Canadian Leadership Summit held at Microsoft's headquarters in Redmond, Washington from May 26-28. This year’s Summit, “Helping to drive value to your bottom line”, explored some critical issues about the business and public sector landscape, with themes such as:
- Leadership in turbulent times
- Creating business value together
- CIO challenges and opportunities
Canadian Microsoft Partners gained valuable insights from the pros with questions like:
- How can we continue to compete in an ever-widening global economy?
- What technology investments can help us to drive performance?
- What technologies can we leverage now?
- What key strategies can help drive our success?
The summit provided the opportunity for attendees to hear from the experts, meet their peers and share their thoughts with Canada’s top business and government leaders. Featured speakers included many top Microsoft executives like Tony Scott, Corporate Vice President and Chief Information Officer, Microsoft Co. and Phil Sorgen, President, Microsoft Canada Co. Other key presenters included Frank McKenna, Deputy Chair of TD Bank Financial Group, former Ambassador to the U.S. and former Premier of New Brunswick as well as Geoffrey Colvin, Senior Editor-at-Large, Fortune Magazine.
